MRIS is Going Green.

Whatever you are looking for in your new home can be sorted using the fields in the Metropolitan Regional Information Systems (MRIS), which is accessible to a Real Estate Agent. The type of things that people search under range from number or bedrooms or bathrooms, square footage, gardens etc. Recently buyers are becoming more interested in the ecological benefits the home will provide, including how energy efficient it is, and what type of green features the home has to offer. Until recently there was no way to search these types of requirements using the MRIS. This made it extremely difficult for companies like Arbour Realty who specialize in eco-friendly homes and new green builds to help customers find the green specifications they desired.
Adam Gallegos founder of Arbour Realty identified this problem within the MRIS and has been working with them to introduce green search fields. The following link is an article published in the current issue of NVAR’s magazine called UPDATES written about Adam Gallegos working with the MRIS to get green fields included in the search process.
