The FHA 203k loan is a permanent mortgage which allows for the acquisition (or refinance) of a residential property and the escrow of funds for repairs, remodeling and/or improvements after closing, eliminating the need for short-term construction financing. Almost any green improvement you can think of is eligible for this program, including any of the following that might be necessary: permit costs, consulting fees, up to 6-months of mortgage payment.
