Dulles Corridor Metrorail

Dulles Metrorail seems to have been years in the making. Finally, back in March of this year, ground breaking work took place to commence this long over due project.
Dulles Metrorail will provide a rail transportation system from Dulles International Airport (IAD) to downtown Washington D.C. The 
Dulles Metrorail will run from East Falls Church to Wiehle Avenue on the eastern edge of Reston. It will include four stations in Tysons Corner; this will be phase 1. Dulles Metrorail Phase 2 will run from Wiehle Avenue to Ashburn in eastern Loudoun County.
The Dulles Metrorail will reduce the already overcrowded Metropolitan highway system, and naturally reduce carbon emissions & pollution. It will also serve as a hassle free transit system to and from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), cutting down on travel times, and reducing the worry of missing your flight by being stuck on I-66 or I-495 in rush-hour traffic.
The Dulles Metrorail will also help connecting passengers into Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) transfer to Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) by simply using the D.C. Metro from National Airport to Falls Church and then jumping on the Dulles Metrorail.
Dulles Corridor Metrorail system has me excited with the idea of no more expensive Car parking fees or over inflated Taxi rides. Of course not to get too overzealous with the completion date scheduled for 2013, and we all know that things don’t always complete on schedule like the Mixing Bowl project in Springfield, VA or the Big Dig in Boston, MA. But for now I am happy just knowing that the Washington Dulles Corridor Metrorail project is underway.
