Expect delays on Leesburg Pike in and around Tysons starting the week of August 19th into September 2013, this is as a result of construction work on the planned silver-line metro project. Dulles Metrorail Project crews will start working each night to complete the paving and restoration of the east and west bound lanes . These lanes will reopen during the day, but expect a rough surface as a result of the two-step process that requires removing old asphalt (milling) and replacing it with new (paving).  Motorists are ask to use extreme caution during this time, and observe all posted signed.

Phase one of the Dulles Metrorail project is estimated to be finished September 2013, with the new stations being opened by the end of the year.  It will include four stations in Tysons Corner-Tysons East, Tysons Central 123, Tysons Central 7 and Tysons West and a station at Wiehle Avenue in Reston.
