Top 5 Arlington Townhouses

Arlington provides many different real estate options to call home.  One of the most popular are Arlington townhouses.  They provide a happy medium between condo life and a single family house.  Townhouses provide more space and a more privacy than a condo.  They require less maintenance and (usually) cost less than a single family house.  However, you will see in my list of the top 5 townhouses in Arlington that some of the townhouses can easily exceed $1 million.

Shirlington Crest

Shirlington Crest is the newest townhouse development in Shirlington. I don’t think you can beat the prices if you are looking for a brand new townhouse in Arlington. There are currently a few options left in the $500’s. I must say that I am big fan of the roof top terraces.  I also like the walkable location to all the restaurants and shopping offered in Shirlington Village.  If you can afford it, I recommend considering one of the larger models. The bigger townhouses provide living space and bedroom sizes that you can grow into.  Take a look at current listings at Shirlington Crest.

Bromptons at Cherrydale

The Bromptons at Cherrydale offer a contemporary townhouse option located in easy-going Cherrydale. I love that you get an entire floor for your luxury master suite. The floor plans are very open and the ceilings are 9’-10’ tall. Right away you will notice the open airiness of the homes. They don’t feel like a cookie-cutter townhouse in any way. Though the Ballston metro is only 1 mile away, these homes account for two car families. If you get lucky, you can find one of these homes priced around $800,000. Clarendon Park

Location is key in real estate, and these townhouses are located right in the middle of Clarendon… arguably one of the most desirable communities in Arlington. They are set on a large grass park where you are likely to find local residents walking their dogs, throwing frisbee or enjoying a book. Whole Foods, shopping, restaurants, fitness centers, the Apple Store… you name it… everything is within a few blocks from Clarendon Park townhouses. My favorite homes are the end-units at Clarendon Park as they look and live like single family homes.  Though original construction only took place 9 years ago, I am finding that many of the townhouses in Clarendon Park have undergone some level of updates on the inside.  You can visit the following link to see if any townhouses are currently available in Clarendon Park.

Cathedral View

Located between Washington Golf & Country Club and Marymount University, these homes were built with the luxury conscious home buyer in mind. Homes at Cathedral View have their own private elevator, movie theaters, wine cellars, 3-5 car garages and slate roofs.  They also boast views of  the golf course and DC skyline including the National Cathedral, of course. These “Old World” influenced homes command prices well into the seven figures, but deliver on size, style and luxury living. Bromptons at Monument Place

Located on the eastern edge of Arlington overlooking Iwo Jima Memorial in Rosslyn, these Arlington townhouses are somewhat legendary. Their views of are the envy of many who visit Arlington. Take your private elevator up to the 5th floor rooftop terrace and enjoy an unbeatable location for enjoying views of the DC monuments and the fireworks on Independence Day. These homes a built for entertaining in high style.
