Shirlington Real Estate Market Watch

It’s been a while since we checked-in on Shirlington to see how the market is performing. Shirlington is one of Arlington’s favorite walkable communities with an endless selection of restaurants, entertainment and beloved pets. The Shirlington neighborhood seems to become more desirable by the minute and I like to keep an eye on how that is affecting home values.

According to the chart inserted below, the median sold price of homes in Shirlington is on the rise. This is after a summer time dip as we saw across the board in Arlington and around Northern Virginia. Low interest rates are creating affordability for homes that may otherwise be out of reach for some home buyers. This obviously helps improve the outcome of charts like the one above.
