Arlington Virginia Happy Hour Specials
Arlington Virginia Happy Hour Specials, one if the best places to kick back and relax with a cocktail in Arlington Virginia.
Have you noticed that happy hour specials have become even better and more plentiful in the last year. Living in Arlington Virginia, I love going out for happy hour after a long day at work, socializing with other Arlingtonians. Working in Ballston and in living in Courthouse
provides me with plenty of choice when it comes to restaurants and bars. It used to be that happy hour would be only available on Monday through Thursday, but now many Arlington bars and restaurants offer happy hour specials 7 days a week, with even longer hours. I know a couple of bars in Clarendon Virginia which offer happy hour until 8.30pm, and I also recommend asking about drinks specials later in the evening. Don’t assume that because it is 8.45pm there are no specials to be had, some bars offer certain drinks specials all evening, and these discounted drinks can really lighten the check at the end of the evening.
Hard Times Café on 3028 North Wilson Boulevard opposite the Clarendon Metro Station, offers daily happy hour specials which include drinks and food, but during my most recent visit around 8.30pm on a Thursday night, I was excited to be informed by our server that drinks specials were available until 9pm, what a deal. I know that they change the drinks specials daily, but during this promotion we were offered $2 bottle of beers and a bucket for 6 bucks.
If you are looking for extended hours happy hours in Arlington, I would also recommend Hunan One on 3033 Wilson Boulevard in Clarendon, their happy hour runs from 11am to 8.30pm daily, there drinks special are phenomenal and the only way to describe the size of their beers is ‘HUGE’. They also offer cheap sushi rolls and other Asian food special. Hunan One has build up a following in the last year, so come early to avoid the crowds.
Spider Kelly’s, 3181 North Wilson Boulevard in Clarendon offer some great happy hour specials that rotate on a daily basis. I am a big fan of their $3 Margaritas and Mojito specials on a Thursday night. The bar gets busy but they have plenty of bar staff on hand to ensure that your glass doesn’t stay empty for long. Since their recent extension they now have 3 large rooms, including a games area, and additional bar and seating area.
Naturally there are times when you want to enjoy a quiet drink away from the crowds. For a relaxing happy hour in Arlington why not try La Tasca on 2900 Wilson Blvd in Clarendon, this beautifully decorated Tapas restaurant offer a sophisticated atmosphere with happy hour specials that feature $3 draft beers and house wine, $13 Sangria Pitcher $12 Bottle of House wine, $6 Jose Cuervo’s Margaritas, $5 Cosmopolitans and $2.50 on selected Tapas. There is always plenty of seating, and their happy hour is available daily from 5-7pm.
If you are in the mood for Asian food then look no further than Café Asia 1550 Wilson boulevard in Rosslyn. This light and spacious Rosslyn restaurant offers creative cocktails for happy hour pricing, plus here is your chance to try some different Asian beer, and sample some of Café Asia’s outstanding food. The $3 selected appetizers and $2.50 drafts are available until 7:30 Monday to Friday.

Looking to continue your green commitment, why not attend Arlington Green Drinks, Green Drinks Arlington is a social and professional networking group for like-minded individuals who work in an environmentally conscious field. With future real estate developments in Arlington, and an increase in retail space, we can expect to see more restaurants and bars opening, giving us evermore choice and places to sample. These new Arlington restaurants and bars hopefully will keep up the tradition, and provide us with even more choice for Happy Hour in Arlington Virginia. I would love to hear from local Arlingtonian’s with further details on happy hour venues and specials.

[...] Take a look at these other counties. As Dr. Holzheimer points out, “with the exception of Arlington” it seems that they are all in fairly rural areas. We can chalk this status up to a number of things- we live near the capital, we have a huge federal contractor and government worker base, we have a strongly educated demographic, and a community that seems to continually grow, even in these tougher economic times. To those of us who live in Arlington County, this is a great thing. It means that our unemployment rate is low, as are our rate of foreclosure and bankruptcy. Mr. Holzheimer states that “Arlington has fared well….our unemployment rate is the lowest in Virginia at 4.0 percent.” Thanks to Mr. Holzheimer for bringing this to our attention! Arlington County shouldn’t be stressed… in fact, the associated press is telling us that… [...]
