Clarendon Arlington Virginia.
Calling Clarendon Arlington Virginia Home.
Clarendon Virginia, what can I say, this Arlington neighborhood is by far my favorite of all the desirable Arlington communities. Don’t get me wrong, Courthouse, Rosslyn and Ballston all have plenty to offer with some wonderful, dining, condo and shopping options, but Clarendon
for me is the crème de la crème. I love that Clarendon has the feel of the suburbs with its tree lined streets, parks and established neighborhoods but all the amenities of a busy city.
I am not alone in my love for Clarendon, this neighborhood has become so desirable that the demand for housing is high and the supply is low. Although, the good news is that the construction that is currently underway in Clarendon VA will provide more residential living space. Clarendon Center South which is located at 3028 Wildon Blvd, will incorporate 38,333 square feet of ground floor retail, 244 residential units and 123,059 square feet of office space. The building will reach a total of 12 stories. Additional planned residential buildings in Clarendon are Waveley Park and Garfield Park. Garfield Park will be located at 2900 N. 10th St. in Arlington VA on the corner of N. Washington and 10th St. You will remember this lot as it was previously home to CVS and Sala Thai restaurant. Garfield Park plans to include 149 residential units. It has not been officially announced whether these will be condos or rental apartments. The Waverly is located in Clarendon at 1200 N. Irving St., Arlington VA, The Waverly Clarendon will include 155 residential units that are more likely to be rental apartments than condos. These new developments in Clarendon will add additional condos and apartment buildings, helping those seeking accommodation in Clarendon VA.
Clarendon’s design makes it the ideal Arlington neighborhood to work, live and play. Back in 2008 Wilson Boulevard-Clarendon Boulevard which runs between Clarendon and Rosslyn was named one of 10 “Great Streets” in the U.S. by the American Planning Association. Wilson Boulevard-Clarendon Boulevard being name one of the 10 “Great Streets” for 2008 is a result of the Arlington County’s continued green commitment, and the fact that twenty percent of Arlington residents do not own a car and 50 percent walk, bike or use public transit to get to work. Read more about Arlington’s boulevards make list of top streets in U.S, in the Washington Business Journal.
Commuting to and from Clarendon VA is easy, all Clarendon homes are located within an easy walk of the Clarendon Metro Station, and the Arlington Bike lanes on the two boulevards connect to nearby Metro stations. The Clarendon area is also serviced by the Metrobus and Art Bus service. You will note that Clarendon restaurants and bars are busy at most times of the days. It seems that Clarendon home owners, and residents prefer to go out in Clarendon, and why wouldn’t they, with so much choice and such an ideally designed neighborhood, Clarendon is a fun spot to hangout. Most Clarendon restaurants and bars have sidewalk seating areas, and a couple of places have rooftop terraces. The rooftop terraces are popular during Spring, Summer and Fall and create the same ambiance as some famous European cities that are known for their rooftop alfresco dining.
Looking for a condo in Clarendon, well you certainly have some wonderful condo buildings to choose from, you will without a doubt be spoiled for choice.
