Rosslyn Virginia is the closest Arlington neighborhood to the District of Columbia. It is a short 5 minute walk over Key Bridge to Georgetown, or an even shorter commute into the DC using the Rosslyn Metro, which is the last Orange line Metro line stop before Foggy Bottom in Washington DC.  Rosslyn’s prime location makes it an ideal Arlington neighborhood to reside within, especially with the hassle free commute into DC, or other Northern Virginia neighborhoods.  More than 9,000 people rent or own in Rosslyn, and that number continues to grow every day. Nearly 600 new housing units have opened in the last year and more than 500 more are under construction.

Rosslyn is a bustling location, and this is not surprising considering more than 25,000 workers are housed in 8 million square feet of office space (and 2,200 hotel rooms).  With quick access to Capitol Hill, the Pentagon and National Airport, Rosslyn is the one of the Metropolitan’s most desirable business address.  Working in Rosslyn comes with plenty of advantages.  Rosslyn has a great transportation system, and even if you don’t live in Rosslyn, commuting to work in Rosslyn is easy with the Orange and Blue Line Metrorail, Metro buses and some wonderful bike paths running through Rosslyn, making Rosslyn Virginia a very walkable neighborhood.  It is noticeable that a majority of people living and working in Rosslyn live a car free diet, thus significantly reducing the carbon emissions and pollution.

Rosslyn residents and workers have access to a diverse mix of dining options, and with so many restaurants to choice from, I am sure people working in Rosslyn and Rosslyn homeowners alike never get bored with the vast array of options.  One of my favorites is Café Asia, located on Wilson Blvd, only a short walk from the Rosslyn Metro and across the street from the Rosslyn Marriott Residence InnCafé Asia celebrates the rich and varied culinary traditions of the Far East by offering delicious dishes from Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Japan, and Vietnam. While preserving these countries’ culinary traditions.  Café Asia also host a great Happy Hour, where you can enjoy sushi, appetizers and a selection of drinks at a discounted rate, making Café Asia a great restaurant to catch up with friends and colleagues of a hard day at the office. Don’t worry if you can’t join the party until after Rosslyn Happy Hour finishes, Café Asia is reasonable priced, and the portions will provide you with plenty of leftovers for lunches during the week.

Rosslyn looks a little different to the other Arlington neighborhoods for example Courthouse, Clarendon and Ballston.  The area close to Wilson Blvd is mainly an assortment of older high-rise office buildings. The Rosslyn condo buildings and residential areas are set back from Wilson Blvd, giving it a suburban feel.  Thinking of moving to Rosslyn, you won’t be disappointed, there are some wonderful condo buildings, townhomes and single family residences here.  If you are looking for pure luxury, you will be pleased to learn that Rosslyn Virginia is home to the world famous Turnberry Towers,  one of Rosslyn most prestigious condo buildings.   Below is a small sample of the condo buildings available for those moving to Rosslyn Virginia and will wet your appétit.
