Haven’t moved here yet? Can’t walk there from your flat?
Shirlington’s Bus Station opened in 2008 and has become the principal transfer point for Metrobus and ART bus service in South Arlington. The enclosed station is also home to the Commuter Store who can provide any sort of transportation information you need. Since there is not an actual Metro station in Shirlington, most people opt to ride the extensive network of buses into Pentagon or take the ART bus towards Ballston or Courthouse. In what ever way you chose to commute, Shirlington is supremely convenient for everyone. One of the main reasons, aside from all of the great Metrobus systems is that if you are driving into Arlington’s Shirlington district,  parking is never an issue either with ground lots, metered parking, valet and several large parking garages.
The Village at Shirlington will be your best spot to explore on your own. As far as housing goes, below are a few example of what can be found in the area. If you ever are curious about Shirlington, it is my stomping ground, so please give me a call or send me an email. The Arbour Realty team has a fantastic website for you to use as a resource for all areas of Northern Virginia. Check out our details for the Shirlington area.
