Arbour Realty’s Eco-Minded Team
Come Grow with us: Arbour Realty’s Arlington, Virginia brokerage is growing!
Since moving into our eco-friendly office in the heart of Ballston in Arlington in July of 2009, our team of agents has more than doubled. If you are familiar with our team, that is fantastic, but we are growing! We have added some fantastic, real estate savvy folks to our environmentally conscious brokerage and have expanded our full service practice to DC and Maryland. Now our growing firm can help you with your real estate needs in Virginia, DC and Maryland! Take a few minutes to learn a little bit more about each of them and what they have done in their lives and business practices to make our world a little bit better!
- Adam Gallegos is Arbour Realty’s founder and broker. From the very beginning, Adam consciously created a business that is environmentally focused and encourages practicing what he preaches. A noted speaker and highly sought after advice giver, Adam’s vision behind Arbour Realty was to establish a business that not only was carbon neutral, but also employed agents who were as passionate about Northern Virginia, DC and Maryland Real Estate as he is.
- Antoine Courbe joined the team in 2010 as a very well seasoned agent. His extensive knowledge of real estate practices and his gentle, yet decisive demeanor help him to grow his personal real estate business through word of mouth. Antoine has made a commitment to use highly efficient appliances, CFL bulbs and even downsized from a gas-guzzling SUV to a smaller more efficient sedan to be more environmentally conscious. Antoine reminds us that “every little bit helps.”
- Brooke Schara one of our original Arbour Realty agents specializes in helping represent buyers looking to green their lives. She also is very skilled in land sales and has a listing in the Eco-Village out in Lovettsville, VA. This community has implemented very high standards of sustainability in their community by encouraging a maximum home size and even having a community garden. Brooke conserves energy where ever she can by flipping switches and using CFLs. Brooke is also one of the co-founders of Arlington’s Green Drinks eco-professionals networking groups.
- Dave Moya, Arbour Realty’s first agent and EcoBroker, next to Adam is a long time resident of Northern Virginia and a highly skilled negotiator. Dave is the sort of guy you would really want to have on your side where there is a seemingly impossible situation. He sees the solution and makes it happen. Dave is also an educator at heart; he takes his EcoBroker training and life experience to each of his transactions and educates his clients about what they can do to make their home more energy efficient.
- Genevieve Concannon joined Arbour Realty as the Director of Business Development in December of 2009. She brought with her a decade in the building industry and has a deep knowledge for the custom home building business. She has liaised with City entities for green building programs and understands the intricacies of building a new home or retrofitting an older one. Genevieve coordinates community programs and Arbour Realty’s interaction with other green organizations; she is also one of the founding members of Green Drinks Arlington, an eco-minded professionals networking group that encourages the sharing of knowledge in the community.
- Karen Weaver, one of Arbour’s newest real estate agents is learning all of the facets of the industry with Dave Moya as her mentor. She understands the true meaning of commitment to community and has even implemented a recycling program for the consulting firm which she recruits for. Karen is very passionate about going into a project armed with information and loves to research. Her clients can rest assured that no rock has been unturned when she is looking for the perfect place for them to call home.
- Katie Silverthorne-Hayes is the one I like to call Little Miss Fairfax. Katie grew up in the Fairfax area and lives there today. Her passion for real estate was discovered when she found herself milling through neighborhoods- just for fun- looking at houses, and loving the architecture. Katie is a very customer service oriented real estate agent. One of the things she loves the most about being an Arbour Agent is the ease of our paperless document systems!
- Lisa Tsoupelis is the transaction coordinator for Arbour Realty. She has been working with the Gallegos team since early 2008 and knows the real estate process backwards and forwards. She is often referred to as the “best transaction coordinator ever!” Title companies and inspectors love hearing her charming British accent and we love that she works so hard to keep our clients happy, all the while building community outreach programs and keeping the office carbon-neutral with paperless transactions.
- Marc Beckmeier has returned to Northern Virginia after a nice long while in the Miami area. Marc has a strong building background. A long stint in Miami such as Marc’s will give anyone in real estate a good insight into condominium living! Marc’s understanding of condominium life and healthy-sustainable living will be a very valuable resource to his clients.
- Sharonda Ware is a very well educated real estate agent who works Virginia, DC and Maryland. Sharonda has a strong client base, but also helps Arbour Realty to facilitate the Real Estate Owned properties in Maryland and DC. Her extensive training and pursuit of continuing education make Sharonda a force to be reckoned with in the real estate industry as she is always looking to be on the upper hand of a deal through the concept of “knowledge is power.” Sharonda has recently completed study on green building practices.
- Sonia Gallegos is an accredited staging professional, real estate agent, and the manager of all bank owned properties that Arbour Realty handles. She is driving force behind the green business practices that Adam has established for Arbour Realty. Since Arbour Realty is a carbon-neutral business, Sonia handles the procurement of renewable energy for the office, recycling, green office products and the management of the paperless transactions.
Arbour Realty has made and impact on the Arlington Community of Ballston and has moved into the DC and Maryland Real Estate markets as a major resource and competitive full service brokerage. Armed with a team of very unique and intelligent real estate agents, Arbour Realty would love to help you with your next real estate transaction.
